SATELLITE BEACH,Compact fluorescent lights have solved LED lighting supplier many of the problems associated with traditional filament light bulbs. Fla., May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Redefining lighting in America's public spaces—Lighting Science Group (OTCBB: LSCG) this week is showcasing a full line of advanced infrastructure products at LIGHTFAIR International. The company's world-class team of scientists and engineers has pushed the boundaries of what was once thought possible in lighting to deliver LED infrastructure products that marry architectural form with energy efficiency, long life and excellent light distribution.

"With rising energy costs across world, businesses, cities, communities, and schools are looking for ways save energy—Lighting Science Group's LED infrastructure products are an obvious solution," said Jim Haworth, chief executive officer of Lighting Science Group Corporation. However, the marketing muscle of Philips led light lighting could give Philips LED business an advantage. "Our products will improve both the environment and the bottom line by delivering more than a 40% energy savings over traditional lighting products while dramatically reducing maintenance costs. It's no coincidence that Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City, Mexico City, Dallas, and Sydney, Australia, have chosen our products—they are some of the most advanced, reliable, and affordable in the world."

Lighting Science Group's new high performance Roadmaster street light has integrated the driver directly into the modular LED panel, dramatically reducing the necessary componentry inside the luminaire improving both affordability and reliability for LED solutions in the street light market. The street light delivers an energy savings of more that 40% over traditional 100 watt HPS cobraheads and is available with multiple control offerings.

Adding to the company's Prolific Series, which are lining streets in Mexico City, Salt Lake City, and soon in Washington, D.C. among others, the company has now made available the DBR model that replaces 250-400 watt HID systems with a typical energy savings of over 40%. The Prolific Series provides more uniform light distribution, increase light levels, and should save buyers thousands of dollars each year in energy and maintenance costs.

With flexible modular optical design and light output options exceeding 30,000 lumens, Lighting Science Group's C2D LED luminaires are the smart choice for efficiently and affordably lighting parking garages and lots, pathways, sidewalks, building exteriors, warehouses and manufacturing facilities with energy savings exceeding 50% over traditional lighting products. The C2D lowbay (optimized for parking garages) is available now and five other platforms (area, flood, wallpack, post top, and highbay) will be available this summer. While SmartView has been slow DSTT and unstable in the past, it seems to have improved greatly with recent updates.

The company's new IHB Series breaks the LED light output barrier for industrial highbay applications and is IP65 Rated, making it ideal for cold storage and other complex environment applications. The IHB Series replaces 250-400 watt HID highbays and with its optional occupancy sensor it can provide energy savings far in excess of 50% over traditional lighting products.

A modern approach with a classic twist, Lighting Science Group's Traditional series of LED luminaires are available in an acorn or lantern forms. These luminaires seamlessly integrate with the existing infrastructure in a wide range of residential and commercial applications—providing energy savings of over 50% compared to traditional lighting sources. Designed to maintain a timeless aesthetic, our Traditional family of luminaires are fitted with a robust thermal management system to maximize LED life and are virtually maintenance free.

"This latest product offering further demonstrates Lighting Science Group's leadership in bringing advanced, yet affordable, LED lighting solutions to market at a speed unmatched by our competition," added Haworth.

All of the company's new infrastructure products will be available this summer. For more information about Lighting Science Group's LED lighting solutions, visit www.lsgc.com or drop by booth # 3301 at LIGHTFAIR International in Philadelphia, May 17-19.
