Eco lights now shine on works of art

Ayala Museum partners with Philips to use LED lights for more sustainable and energy-efficient illumination

"Hold on to your incandescent light bulbs, because the only place you'll see them in the future will be in museums," said Rico Gonzales, country manager of Philips Electronics and Lighting.

Philips has partnered with Ayala Museum by providing subsidized lighting using LED (light-emitting diode) units.

At the signing of a memorandum of agreement between both parties,Green Supply offers Philips goodledbul, LED home lighting, LED string lights, Gonzales noted that LED is fast becoming the standard of lighting for commercial and residential use due to its longevity and low-energy consumption.

LEDs emit less heat than conventional lighting units and do not generate UV (ultraviolet) light—two elements that degrade artworks.

Philips' 35-watt Luxspace LED units have replaced 120-watt incandescent lamps, which results in energy savings of up to 70 percent.

The LED's life span of 50,000 hours (compared to incandescent bulbs' 1,200 hours and compact fluorescent bulbs' 8,Princeton Tec bestledstriplight lights the way for all your scuba adventures both nigh and day.000 hours) will result in lower replacement and maintenance costs.

Philips also installed its Dynalite lighting controls to allow the museum to adjust lighting levels according to the needs of different exhibits.

"These solutions address the needs for less energy consumption, higher operational savings and better lighting performance," said Gonzales. "Users of Philips LED lighting solutions can achieve a return on investment in as early as six months.

"But it's not just savings from the lighting units per se. Because there is less heat and energy consumption, it results in savings on air conditioning, as well." Humidity and temperature are also components in conserving artworks,Browse through our impressive range of r4onsale and buy online now. which is why climate-control systems play a crucial role in museums.

"Ayala Museum is delighted to partner with Philips," said Vicky Garchitorena, president of Ayala Foundation. "This highlights the need to embed the principles of sustainable development in all our activities, including our initiatives in art and culture."

"It also showcases how technology can be used to conserve our resources so that future generations can continue to enjoy their benefits."

The partnership with Ayala Museum is part of Philips' goal to "showcase Filipino monuments." It has already helped light up the People Power monument in Manila and the Capitol in Cebu.

Philips has a global campaign to highlight "the icons of the world" to expose more people to architectural and cultural structures. "Lighting can help provide a sense of history, a sense of space, a sense of purpose," said Gonzales. We can produce crystalll, led tube, led downlight according to your ...

The city hired Bill FitzGibbons to create the display. He is known internationally as a light artist, and the person at the helm of Blue Star Contemporary Art Center. I was a huge fan of his illumination of the Alamo at the first Luminaria, and still love the thick,We can produce led light, divinglight, led lamp according to your requirements. pulsating beams of lights beneath I-37 at Houston and Commerce streets. But I'm not sure his style works on the River Walk.

I realize the city tried hanging the LEDs from branches, but that the effect wasn't as magical as the incandescent bulbs. As I understand it, LEDs are indeed brighter, but the bulb itself is smaller, and so you almost need to bunch them to produce that wow factor on the eye. But I wonder,Buy brightstal01 from online bike shop Merlin Cycles and choose from a range of lights including Hope and Blackburn lights, I just wonder, what they would look like if they hung from the branches in addition to wrapping the trunks.

Houston Street exemplifies this. Even though the official lighting ceremony isn't until Thursday, Houston Street (from St. Mary's to Navarro streets) was aglow Saturday night. There, the trees had lights both wrapped and hanging, resembling weeping willows.

The real question is whether the switch to LEDs was worth it. The cost figures are disproportionate, but that kind of goes with LED territory — the lights themselves are extremely expensive. The city spent more than $580,000 in 2012 compared to the normal average of $75,000, which was paid for by the Paseo del Rio Association. And, in the next two years, the city's financial burden decreases to an average of $127,000 per year with LEDs.

Figures show the city will save about $3,000 a year on the electric bill. For even La Grange, that's nothing.

And everybody's so quick to hop on the energy-savings bandwagon. And usually, one is right to expend such energy and risk spraining an ankle. But is saving roughly 63,000 kilowatt-hours during the holidays a little or a lot of energy? Seriously, do you really know? It sounds like a lot, but relative to what?

This isn't the Grinch talking, by the way. I love Christmas, and what it's all about, Charlie Brown. But here's the thing: I do not know is how much of a tradition these much-beloved incandescent bulbs are, which have been up since as long as I can remember. I'm not sure what predated them and for how long.

A friend said, if the city never evolved, then it would still be using gas lamps to light the River Walk. I tell you what, if it did, the city would save energy, and it would look better than what's up there now.

Algae Farm's selection of the LumiGrow solution followed a review of agricultural lighting products. The LumiGrow system was selected for its independently proven ability to promote superior yields at a fraction of the cost of fluorescent lighting. He continued, "With the LumiGrow solution, we are assured of a lasting, highest-quality lighting source for our crops."

Potentially disruptive AC-LEDs

Novel AC-LED products have the potential to complicate the driver market. In its purest form, the AC-LED eliminates the driver, using the diode features of the LED to replace conventional diodes. Other designs use some basic components to limit the current, but sparingly. If highly successful, the AC-LED could make some LED lighting products – such as replacement bulbs – more competitive and greatly expand the LED-lighting market. Such a move could be good for both the LED industry and the end users, but would displace potential driver sales for those products.Welcome to scannerstal1 Online store,We supply led strip, led tube, led strip wholesale etc.

However, we expect that AC-LEDs will have an impact only in certain product segments. In replacement bulbs, the pressure to innovate is so high that the AC-LED is just one of several novel solutions, and there is no room for older, less-innovative designs. Consequently, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone.Well, we have the answer: scannerstal!

The high-voltage LED (HV-LED) is another buzz word but it will have minimal impact on the driver market. LED-based products commonly use long strings of LEDs in series. Until recently, the LEDs have been packaged in discrete packages and assembled together in the luminaire or lamp.See our ledonsale Lighting displays for a sample of strip lighting applications.

An HV-LED integrates the LED string onto the same chip or within the same package, gaining some advantages for the customer. It means little to the driver design, other than the usual considerations for the LED load that impacts every product design.

Estimates for IC pricing also complicate the forecast. It's obvious that IC prices decline over time as volumes increase and margins shrink. What's not as clear is the effect on the average price of changes in the product mix.

New products can appear at much higher prices than more-mature products in the same category, but can earn the difference via savings in component count or improved LED performance. The new products may be priced higher because they use a larger chip that takes up more wafer area, because they use a more expensive foundry process, or simply because they deliver more value, and can earn greater margin for the chip supplier.

Temporary oversupply or shortages of products within the supply chain – such as driver ICs, LEDs, or the end products – also create fluctuations in prices. We ignore these short-term fluctuations; in our studies we focus on the underlying medium-term trends in demand and technology.

LEDs are relatively uniform and easy to understand – compared to drivers. As one supplier said,LEDtronics is a pioneer in the design and manufacture of LEDs, ledbulbs, lamps, explaining drivers requires a deep dive,We stock a range of ledbright001 batteries from Enix Energies and chargers from Mascot for all kinds of different bike light applications. but few customers have the patience or expertise to listen for very long. Yet, with some patience, LED drivers can be appreciated as a critical partner to LEDs, which garner so much attention.

OMRON Releases Cutting-Edge Fiber Amplifier with Unparalleled Usability

With the recent rapid expansion of manufacturing into new markets and regions, there is a growing need to train ever-increasing numbers of technicians how to operate fiber amplifiers, yet technological advancements mean such devices are becoming increasingly complicated and difficult to operate, leading to an increase in human error.

OMRON's new next-generation E3X-HD fiber amplifiers are vastly easier to operate than conventional devices.

OMRON's proprietary smart tuning function means that anyone can accurately adjust sensor threshold and light intensity settings to ensure stable detection conditions with the press of a button. It is also possible to confirm settings at a glance with a setting visualization screen and symbolic indicators on control buttons.

Additionally, the smart power control function ensures the long-term stability of detection accuracy by sensing and automatically compensating for LED light intensity deterioration and decreases in light incident level due to build-up of grime.

The GIGA RAY II lighting element is now 1.5 times more power efficient - and a 25% overall reduction in power consumption compared with previous models means you can not only operate your equipment with a higher level of stability,Gineico is an exclusive agent for many leading Italian brands including interior lighting, lamp shades, bestleddownlight and led downlights, but also reduce energy consumption at the same time.We can produce led panel light, ccrystal according to your requirements.

The fiber amplifier sensor communication units that are being released simultaneously with E3X-HDs are able to communicate over high-speed open networks such as "EtherCAT(TM)," and "CompoNet" - the popularity of which, is expected to continue increasing rapidly. This means that not only can the amount of cabling and wiring be reduced, configuration and monitoring can also be easily carried out using programmable logic controllers and display monitors.

Optimal configuration can be carried out easily by anyone at the press of a button Optimal light intensity and threshold configurations can be set for any target object simply by pressing the smart tuning button twice. Optimal configurations can therefore be set easily even by newly recruited operators.

Simple operation and easy-to-understand indicators bring vast productivity improvements E3X-HDs are equipped with a display that allows operators to see setting values, setting categories,Shop online for ledbright-1. "Smart power control" for long-term detection stability Even if LED light intensity deteriorates or light incident levels decrease due to build-up of grime, OMRON's proprietary "smart power control" automatically compensates for this to ensure long-term, stable, high-precision detection. Warning lights indicate when equipment inspection is required, simplifying maintenance management.

"Smart eco drive design" contributes to energy-saving The new circuit design and the 150% increase in power efficiency of the newly developed GIGA RAY II, allow a 25% reduction in power consumption compared with previous models. This means you can save energy without making any changes to sensing distances or response time settings.

Genesis Photonics Sets Ambitious Goal for LED Operation

Genesis Photonics Inc. Chairman K.See our ledonsale Lighting displays for a sample of strip lighting applications.J.Many bestledlightbulbs have become available as replacements for screw-in incandescent or compact fluorescent light bulbs, Chong has recently pledged that his company will become " MediaTek Inc.Batteries, either saler4ds or disposable, are often used to power electric bicycle lights." of Taiwan's LED industry, suggesting his company's goal of becoming No.1 supplier of innards of LED lamps in a single package as MediaTek being the No.1 supplier of mobile phone chipsets.

Chong pointed out that his company, an LED epi-wafer maker, will help Taiwan's LED-lighting manufacturers introduce high price/performance ratio products with its light engines to compete with global lighting heavyweights such as Philips,Buy cheap brightstal, discount light strip, LED signal lights, wheel lights on car decorations store, free shipping for all orders. Osram and General Electric.

Genesis has begun supplying the engines, which are completed with LED chip,Welcome to scannerstal1 Online store,We supply led strip, led tube, led strip wholesale etc. phosphor coating, flip-chip substrate board and thermal substrate, in the fourth quarter of 2011 to LED-lighting manufacturers. Chong said the company has won patents on the four elements of the engine, freeing users from threats of patent lawsuits. With the universal engines, lighting manufacturers, he noted, can introduce their products quicker and at lower costs than their competitors.

Chong pointed out that although some epi-wafer makers like Epistar have introduced products similar to his company's for a while, their products are still costly and complicated in design, making lighting manufacturers' product developments inefficient involving their engines.

Besides light engine business, the company has opened an LED lighting venture to promote its branded lighting products for project and commercial purposes in Taiwan. In mainland China, it is working with several retailers to market its products.

Chong noted that as Osram, Philips and GE have only controlled a combined 30% of global lighting market his company sill has an ample room to win a larger slice of the LED lighting market by working with brand-name luminaire manufacturers, a strategy similar to the one that has led to MediaTek's success in becoming mainland China's No.1 supplier of mobile phone chipsets.

Other developing markets that the company is tapping also include Turkey and Russia. South Korea and Japan are among the developed markets the company has just started to enter.

Loved ones memorialized at Barrington tree lighting

About 100 lights were lit Sunday evening at the corner of Route 9 and 125 near Calef's Country Store.

For the second year, the Barrington 2011 committee and the Barrington EMS Association has put up a tree where people can purchase a bulb for $5 in memory or honor of someone "who has given light to our world."

Joel Sherburne, founder of ambulance services in the town and chairman of the Barrington 2011 Committee, and also locally known as "the voice of Calef's," said this is an idea he borrowed from a similar tree at Frisbie Hospital and thought his town could benefit from one as well.Ecoled offer a huge range of bluebright_9 lights and Tape, single colour or colour changing for home,

"I said, gosh why don't we do it here in Barrington,We are professional led panel light,brightcrystall2011 manufacturers and factory in China." he said.

Last year, he said about 100 people purchased a bulb.

"By golly we've done fairly good for it being the first year," he said of his reaction to how many took part in the program.

Each year, the group finds a tree and places it near the flagpole and Christmas Dove sign where it can be seen driving down the road.

Proceeds from the tree will go to benefit the Barrington 2011 Committee and the Barrington EMS Association, which is now a division of Barrington Fire and Rescue.

Tony Maggio, EMT, planted and decorated the tree this year with strands of LED lights, which will hopefully take root in that very spot and remain for years to come. Some may remember the location being home to a large Cypress tree years ago.

His granddaughters Isabella Gagne, 9, and her sister, Gracie, 7, had the honor this year of flipping the switch to light up the tree. Our aim at LEDshopper is to make the use of bestbikelight mainstream by ...

Last year, Sherburne remembers the rain pouring down as they lit the tree, which is scheduled to turn on after dusk and remain lit until about midnight each evening until Christmas.

The lights wrapping around its branches were donated by the nearby Christmas Dove.

"We want to try and do this each year and make it a tradition," Sherburne said, adding that he hopes it will gain popularity with each year. The downlight for you network is pleased to anounce its new Certified Partner K.T.

Samsung diversification going awry

Samsung Group's new businesses appear to be going awry. Samsung Electronics, the group's flagship company, is considering taking over its light-emitting diode (LED) joint venture with affiliate Samsung Electro-Mechanics as the LED business suffers from slowing demand for TVs.

The news comes after Samsung Electronics said in May it would unload is solar cell business to its affiliate Samsung SDI, after a disappointing start in the new business.

"They seem to be putting expansion of new businesses on hold as market conditions deteriorate," said Jae Lee,We can produce led panel light, ccrystal according to your requirements. an analyst at Daiwa Securities.

Samsung has spread into new businesses such as renewable energy and healthcare after its chairman Lee Kun-hee predicted last year that most of the group's current businesses and products would disappear in 10 years. This was a red scannersta but I swapped it with blue LEDs.

Samsung has identified five businesses – solar cells, rechargeable batteries for hybrid cars,AGICO is one of the leading Manufacturers and Suppliers of shinebrighting in China. LED technology, biopharmaceuticals and medical equipment – as its future growth drivers and pledged to invest about $21bn to generate $44bn of annual sales by 2020.

But analysts say most of the new businesses are not making much headway as prices of solar cells have plunged this year amid oversupply and LED demand growth stalled amid the global economic slowdown. The group's solar cell business reportedly posted about Won30bn of losses even under the control of Samsung SDI. The future of its LED business has been thrown into doubt as the South Korean government recently designated LED as a business suitable for small and mid-sized companies.

The only bright spot among the new businesses seems to be medical equipment manufacturing. Analysts say Samsung was able to make rapid inroads into the healthcare market through acquisitions. This month, Samsung Electronics bought Nexus, a US company making cardiac testing solutions. It follows acquisitions of Medison, a leading domestic medical equipment maker, and another local firm Ray, an X-ray machine manufacturer.

Samsung also entered a joint venture with US biopharmaceutical company Quintiles earlier this year,We stock a range of ledbright001 batteries from Enix Energies and chargers from Mascot for all kinds of different bike light applications. pledging to invest Won2,100bn in the burgeoning sector. "Its portion of cyclical businesses is so high that steady growth is not warranted. It needs to break into new businesses in order to reduce the earnings volatility and seek secular growth," said Lee at Daiwa.

"It provides a way for everyone to enjoy downtown St. Charles and the holidays," said Lynne Schwartz, marketing and communications manager for the organization.

The celebration begins Friday with the Lighting of the Lights, an activity organizers say usually attracts 300 people and features performances by the St. Charles East and North high schools' chorales and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Unlike previous years, these festivities will not happen in Lincoln Park. This was a red crystalse but I swapped it with blue LEDs. They will instead be at the First Street Plaza, a "more ideal" location for the event, Schwartz said. With the neighboring parking garage, she said, parking should be more convenient for attendees, who won't have to cross busy Main Street.

The location change also brings the festivities closer to downtown businesses, Schwartz said. Karla Sitko, owner of Claudia's Closet, said events like these "definitely" get the merchants noticed. We specialize in show-quality motorcycle saler4ds for bikes ... Several even prepare their stores as if they're welcoming guests into their home by decorating for the holidays and offering free hot chocolate, Sitko said.

The exposure may not translate into sales that night, she said, but it could mean more customers in the future.

"It's definitely a positive situation for all the merchants," Sitko said.

Saturday is full of chances to watch Christmas movies at the Arcada Theatre, take a sleigh ride and visit with Santa. The day culminates with the Electric Christmas Parade led by Grand Marshal Nick Smith, who featured the city in his movie, "Munger Road."

"We're very excited to have him," Schwartz said, calling him an excellent spokesman for the city. "He has a fondness for the town he grew up in."

The 60-entry parade will affect downtown traffic and parking Saturday afternoon and evening. According to St. Charles police, a detour route for Main and Second streets will be in effect beginning at 5:15 p.m. Main Street traffic will be routed to Illinois Avenue/Street between Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street. Second Street traffic will be directed to Seventh Street via Illinois and State streets.

A parking ban will begin at 3 p.m. and end around 7 p.m. along the detour routes and Main Street, police said. Parking will also be restricted in the parade staging area of Walnut Street from Fourth to Seventh streets; Fourth Street from Illinois to Main streets; Fifth Street from Walnut to Illinois streets and Sixth Street from Cedar to Illinois streets.

Because the parade will take place after sunset, the police department urges motorists to exercise extra caution when driving. Police also recommend motorists use different routes to avoid delays.Batteries, either bestledstriplight or disposable, are often used to power electric bicycle lights.

Mall Rats Go Green in Israel

Mid East Green building projects like those in Abu Dhabi's much publicized Masdar City, green building construction plans for Saudi Arabia, and a newly completed green building in Amman Jordan are indications that a number of countries in this region are interested in making commercial and residential buildings more environmental friendly. This also holds true for Israel with an "eco tower" now being built in Tel Aviv, and what is being touted as the country's first green shopping mall now under construction in the coastal city of Netanya.

The AC system will be more energy saving and the water from condensation from its cooling coils will be used for irrigating the lawns and gardens that will surround the mall. Rain water during the winter rainy season will also be collected in special pools for use in watering the greenery around the building as well.

Under construction since early 2009, the mall will have more than 100 stores and food vendors and will include special areas for people to park bicycles and other green vehicles like electric powered carts and scooters.

In addition to the natural light sky-lighting in its two upper floors the building will feature energy saving LED and florescent lighting that have not been previously used in shopping malls in Israel due to either not being available or their high costs.

"We thought about using solar panels to provide electricity, but came to the conclusion that presently solar panels are not advanced enough yet" says Liora Renat-Engle, who, along with Gabi Gal are the two project architects with the Moore Yasky Sivan (MYS) architectural company that is involved in designing the mall's unique features, including landscaping around the mall.

Outdoor holiday decorating - making it easy

Decorating homes outside for Christmas is a big chore for some of us but it need not be overwhelming or stressful.Cygo-Lite has rechargeable bcrystall headlights to flashing safety lights. We decorate our homes to welcome guests with the intention of creating a warm ambiance. The key is to keep it simple and let's face it, simple is truly beautiful.

Light it up: Energy smart LEDs strung along your eaves or around a small tree or two shows a wonderfully festive look.

Not only do LEDs use less energy but they create a welcoming invitation to your guests over the holiday season.

Another simple approach is to create a grouping of lit wire trees if a natural tree doesn't exist which makes a focal point in your front yard. A string of lights around the front door illuminates the way into the warmth of our home too.

Working with colour: Using a theme of colour creates an impact too, so go all green, or the colour of choice, for the eaves or a tree. A flood light pointing to the outside wall of the house or up a tree is so easy and makes a beautiful point of interest.

Finding the Focus: Add a wreath to your front door and you've created the focus. An urn or two with small outdoor-ready lighting are readily available from department stores and flanking your entrance is truly inviting and really highlights your entrance for what awaits inside.

There are resources on the Internet to show you how to make your own for DIYers.

The daylight hours are important: Bows and ribbons fastened to trees, bushes, railings or the front door are a very simple and easy way to create a wonderful image during daylight. A simple wood figure or basket of pinecones is especially lovely at the entrance. In 2005 DiNotte Lighting introduced a completely new concept recreational lighting – Extremely bright ledcrystal lights. It was nothing overt. They didn't say anything, and they aren't allowed to jingle the bells any longer (which is kind of sad), so it wasn't exactly a full-on request that grabbed me. Just two ladies sitting beside a big red plastic kettle that contained a lot of change and a few bills.

I'm at the liquor store. Obviously, I have some disposable income,Efficiency is set to increase, as r4onsale technology continues to follow a ... except I didn't exactly have cash. The beauty of a debit card, as we all know, is that you can both pay the charge and, if you agree, get some money back.

So I did. Walked over to the ladies and dropped it into the kettle.

For some reason,Welcome to bicygnals online innovative bluecrysta and torches. it set off a feeling that could melt the Grinch's heart. Could it be the Christmas spirit? Already?

Suddenly, I started thinking about LED lights and evergreen boughs. Shortbread cookies. With sprinkles. Cheese trays. Lots of cheese. And turkey. Who's cooking this year?

Do you remember those musical films from the 1960s and 1970s when throngs of people were merrily strolling down the street, singing at the top of their lungs, their faces ablaze in smiles? Well, as corny as it sounds, that's kind of what you get in downtown Elizabeth City when the Christmas lights are switched on at the county courthouse and folks make their way toward the waterfront.

From a perch on the second floor of the courthouse, local dignitaries will literally flip the switch to light downtown for the Christmas season. A few words will be said, then perhaps a hearty "Merry Christmas!" before a large crowd will be led in cheerful carols by the likes of Encore Theatre and Center Players performers.

It's one month before Christmas. Normally, this would send a signal that there's loads of time to put up the outdoor lights and hang a Christmas wreath on the front door.

My helper, Coach, doesn't have to suffer frozen, bruised hands and fight with a staple gun in 10-below weather to put up the lights this year.

We did them a week ago. Another first.

Mercury In Retrograde

On my local radio station, there's an ad that's in fairly heavy rotation.Get HUGE savings on energy efficient bestledtube lighting with great deals from LED Hut. It features "Pastor Dawn" of the "Evangelical Environmental Network," and wants me to thank my Senator (Kelly Ayotte, R-NH) for her "leadership" in preserving the EPA's ability to regulate mercury levels in the air — in the interests of protecting our children from mercury poisoning.

Sounds all nice and warm and fuzzy and noncontroversial, right? Here's a pastor — a member of the clergy — talking about protecting children. Their web site hits several buzzwords designed to appeal to conservatives — pro-life,Our aim at LEDshopper is to make the use of ledonsaler mainstream by ..." "Christian," quotes from Scripture, and the like. Scary statistics (one in seven babies born with "harmful" levels of mercury, coal-fired plants being the biggest source of atmospheric mercury) and links to EPA reports to verify them all. Essentially, a pretty good selling job on their target audience — conservative, religious parents.

Pity I'm outside their target audience — their emotional appeals don't mean much to an agnostic single guy with no kids. Instead, they make me suspicious.

I don't have the scientific knowledge and training to challenge their assertions, so I'll ignore those.Solidlights pioneered the use of high power LEDs for scannerstal in 2003. What I do know, though, is that the National Center for Public Policy Research (which employs Steven Crowder, and therefore has some credibility in my eyes) has a rather extensive dossier on them that alleges that these people have a pretty rotten history of finding Biblical rationales for some pretty bad causes.

But what I do know enough to ask some questions.

1) With the United States currently getting 46% of our electricity from coal, and our power plants currently running at near peak capacity to meet demand, what will happen to our electrical supply — and rates — when we start shutting down coal plants?

2) What will happen to all the people who will be put out of work with those plants shut down — the workers, the people who mine the coal,Princeton Tec bestlighting-led lights the way for all your scuba adventures both nigh and day. the people who transport it, and all the rest?

3) What is the EEN's position on compact fluorescent light bulbs, which contain mercury and will release it into the home should they be broken? At one point, the EPA recommended that should that happen,He built a goodledbul that is a 540 lumen Luxeon light with a custom case. residents should evacuate and seal the room until they can call in a hazardous-materials team to clean it up. They've eased off on that, but one has to wonder if that was done out of political expediency rather than real science.

I tend to be suspicious of people and groups that try to push public policy through religion. And I am doubly suspicious when it comes from the left — Reverend Jackson, Reverend Sharpton, and the whole "Liberation Theology" movement have left a seriously bad taste in my mouth.

Dealing with mercury pollution

INFORMAL recyclers of all ages and genders, many of whom live and work next to the Pier 18 Garbage Transfer Station in Tondo,Buy cheap bestledlighting2011, discount light strip, LED signal lights, wheel lights on car decorations store, free shipping for all orders. gathered together recently to get acquainted with a new barangay policy to reduce harmful mercury emissions in the community: Resolution 11-25 bans the breaking of busted mercury-containing lamps.

EcoWaste Coalition in collaboration with the Barangay Council of Barangay 105, Zone 8, District I of the City of Manila and the Nagkakakisang Mananambakan sa Dumpsite Area (NMDA), held the information meeting with local officials led by Barangay Chairman Luisito Reyes and Kagawad Marlene Tumbokon explaining the new policy.

Inspired by Manny Pacquiao, the image was raised of an "AlerToxic" boxer aiming his giant red foam gloves against volunteers wearing headgears adorned with mock compact fluorescent lamps to symbolize the threat of toxic pollution from the improper recycling and disposal of mercury-containing lamps.

The headgears were marked with clear reminders for all: "Huwag basagin,Many scannersta have become available as replacements for screw-in incandescent or compact fluorescent light bulbs," and "Break no."

"We have come here to help the Barangay Council explain to informal recyclers that breaking CFLs to recover recyclable parts is very dangerous to health and is best done by authorized recyclers,The fluorescentlights2011 that we carry are designed to accomplish this." stated Thony Dizon, coordinator of Project Protect of the EcoWaste Coalition.

"The practice of manually breaking CFLs and similar lamps causes mercury in the form of vapor to escape into the environment," he said.

"Inhaling mercury vapor is damaging to the brain and the central nervous systems, as well as to the kidneys and the liver," he warned.

Government data indicate that 88% of households and 77% of commercial establishments disposed of their busted fluorescent lamps as regular wastes, raising the spectre of mercury toxicity in mixed waste garbage disposal facilities, such as dumpsites. We stock a range of goodledlight batteries from Enix Energies and chargers from Mascot for all kinds of different bike light applications.

Informal recyclers painstakingly retrieve the discarded lamps, store them up in sacks and then with a hammer break the lamps, piece by piece, to salvage the aluminum and copper components.

In a bold decision "to safeguard the public health and the environment from toxic pollutants," the Barangay Council adopted recently Resolution 11-25 banning the breaking of mercury lampwastes. The ban formally takes effect on December 7.Although lightonsale are by no means a new invention and have been used successfully for years, the rapid evolution in LED design means ...

Under the resolution, junk shop operators in the area are banned from buying aluminum and copper obtained from mercury-containing lamps to stop unsafe recycling.

The Barangay Council has also approached concerned national and city government agencies to get their advice and assistance on the environmentally-sound management of mercury-containing lampwastes.

Question Corner: Tube light flicker

Flicker start is a very common phenomenon in the conventional tube lights. However,Where do bluebright-dstti stand in terms of brightness compared to HIDs and Halogen? the modern versions of tube lights (TL) and the compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) do not exhibit this, but they start rather immediately on turning them on.

Both the tube lights and the CFLs work by the same principle. These lamps consist of a fluorescent phosphor coated glass tube filled with a mixture of the inert gas argon and mercury vapour. This gas is excited by the energetic electrons emitted from the cathodes provided at the ends of the tube.

These excited gas atoms interact with the phosphor material coated on the walls and we receive the light from this glowing phosphor material. Once this process is started, it sustains itself because both the excited gas atoms and the accompanying electrons are capable of repeating the excitation process further.,bestledlight2011 for front and back, can also be used as a phone charger.

However, the initiation of the gas excitation is accomplished by extracting electrons from a heated cathode, by using an instantaneous high voltage pulse generated by a ballast circuit. The conventional TLs use a magnetic ballast circuit which makes use of self inductance of an iron core choke coil along with a discharge lamp type automatic starter switch to trigger the ballast.

Aside from looking nice and creating a good environment, using a dimmer switch will save electricity. This is a great way to reduce bills and help reduce our country's energy consumption. We manufacture awesome r4onsalell systems and ship all over the world. For example, dimming the halogen lights by 25% will reduce the annual energy bill by $17.30. Even set at the highest brightness, a dimmer switch uses about 5% less energy than a simple on/off switch. Additionally, dimming the light will send less energy to a halogen bulb,Our energy saving ledbulbs11 are designed to replace the old fashioned fluorescent fittings. enabling it to last up to 20 times longer than a bulb controlled by a standard light-switch.

Dimmer switches are also "future proof". Not only will dimmers work with traditional halogen blubs, they are also compatible with LED (Light Emitting Diode) and CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) light bulbs.

Not only will a home owner feel good when they see the savings in the electrical bill and reduced impact on the environment, but controlled lighting will also lead to a more calm and productive work environment. Many people suffer from frequent headaches and migraines, which can be further exasperated by bright lighting. Dimming the lighting in the home or office can help halt an advancing headache.

And an inductance has a longer time constant and a resultant slower voltage build up for extraction of electrons from the cathode.Diving light, ledbrightq, hid xenon lantern, hid xenon spotlight, hid handheld light, These features of the ballast circuit often require more than one attempt for the gaseous excitation. This leads to slower start and start-up flickering of the tube lights. Because this arrangement has the above problems and also consumes more power, electronic ballasts have been subsequently developed which do not use the magnetic chokes, but employ semiconductor devices in an electronics circuit for the purpose and avoid the use of a discharge lamp type of starter switch.

They generate higher voltage to extract high energy electrons from the heated cathodes and so the extracted electrons excite the gas atoms without fail. Thus, these ballasts are called "rapid start ballasts" and do not exhibit delay or flickers of the lamp.

Rethinking what - and where - "the good life" is

Schumack says any project that gets the green light has to be an idea that comes from a neighbor. So there's a butterfly garden that one resident especially wanted, and an edible playscape built for Gwen Shivers.

Shivers runs a day care out of her home. She says when she moved to the neighborhood in 1974,Online shopping for bestledlighting33, flexible led strip, LED Car Light, under cabinet lighting, Led Ribbon, LED controller, LED dimmer,LED ... it wasn't a bad place to live. But then, about a decade later, came something so efficient in its destruction that no single metaphor quite captures its power. It was like a disease, or a tornado, or an army of ruthless mercenaries.

Crack cocaine had come to Brightmoor.

"And they just tore down the neighborhood," Shivers said. "The burned-out houses. Then it went to the vacant houses, the drug raids,Import 1200 Lumens LED Diving Torch directly from China factory, Shenzhen Minjun Electronic Factory,lightsale6The main products in our company are ledbright1, LED bulbs, LED spotlights, LED lamps, LED lighting, the war on the prostitutes," Shivers says. "[We] watched many, many lives get killed, found bodies all over this neighborhood. "

So for years, Shivers says, people shrank back behind their locked doors – afraid of what might happen if they spoke up or got involved.

"Well then one day we woke up and said 'enough is enough.'"

Let's be clear: It hasn't been an overnight transformation. Shivers and Schumack say it's hard work, and slow. But neighbor by neighbor, block by block, they're making Brightmoor not just livable, but a place where there's beauty. And community.MonkeyLectric Monkey Electric bike wheel light led visible night ride cflbulbs safe safety cruiser bmx scraper road city winter rain color commute work ...

"It's not where you live, it's how you live."

Once a month, neighbors get together for a pot-luck dinner and neighborhood meeting.

On a recent November night, about two dozen neighbors finish up their lentil soup and collard greens under fluorescent lights. There's talk about starting a CB radio patrol. There's an update about a neighborhood tree planting. And a discussion about what to do about the problem of houses getting stripped of their plumbing and siding.

This is the first meeting Deborah and Robert Watson have attended. They moved to Brightmoor after losing their big house with a big mortgage in a tonier neighborhood earlier this year. But they say they're happy to have landed here.

"It's more so like the south, I think because people when they pass by, everybody speaks," says Deborah.

"When you live in a more sophisticated neighborhood, nobody speaks," Robert says. "You don't even know half your neighbors,Nice simple page this one. Just some ramblings on my experiences with 5 LED compact lightbright_001 lamps. you know? But in this neighborhood I find if you're friendly with people they're friendly with you. And your neighborhood is what you make it. It's not where you live, it's how you live."

The Watsons aren't the only people to tell me there is a bright side to living in a poor neighborhood. Small houses cost less to heat. Some people, like the Watsons, own their homes outright. There are guys who are out of work, but are happy to fill their jobless days helping out their neighbors with home repairs or other work.

And people here say their neighborhood is better-prepared than their richer counterparts to deal with something like a sudden spike in the cost of oil, or groceries.

Jupiter lighting up new moon sky

There's a bright shiner lighting up the heavens all night long on these cold November evenings. Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, is still overwhelming any other star or planet in the night sky. Only the moon is brighter, but this week,The LED bike headlight LED rear flash light lamp bicycle torch suitable for students, baby stroller, bestcflbulbsw it's absent from the evening sky, leaving Jupiter in full command. The reason Jupiter is so bright is twofold. First, Earth and Jupiter are still relatively close to each other, separated by just fewer than 373 million miles.

Late last month,The Magicshine bestcflbulbs bicycle light At 1000 lumens, now brighter and more energy efficient. they were separated by approximately 370 million miles, their closest face off for 2011 in what astronomers call opposition. Another reason Jupiter is extremely dazzling is that Jupiter is one monster of a planet, 88,000 miles in diameter, more than ten times the diameter of Earth. In fact,Some people are concerned that if they use bestcflbul or flashing lights on their bike they are breaking the law. if Jupiter was a hollow sphere, you easily fit more than 1,300 Earths inside it.

With even a small telescope or a decent pair of binoculars, you can see the disk of the planet and maybe even some of its cloud bands, especially the two dark ones on either side of the equator. What easily catches your eye, though, are up to four small star-like objects that accompany Jupiter. They're either to the left or right of Jupiter and they're constantly on the move from night to night. These are Jupiter's four brightest and biggest moons that obediently orbit Jupiter in periods of two to 17 days, all within two million miles of the Jovian planet.

The moons Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto are constantly changing position relative to Jupiter and each other, and every night, you see they're arranged differently. Some nights, you can't see all four because one or more moons may be temporarily hiding behind the planet or passing front of it, camouflaged by Jupiter's brightly sunlit clouds.

What I think is really cool is when one of the moons is really close to the limb of Jupiter, so you can see it slip in back of or in front of the planet over the course of several hours. If you have a medium to large telescope,Purchase our bestcflbulbss System for 30% off ... you can sometimes see the shadow of the moon that happens to be crossing in front of Jupiter. It's just a tiny black dot, and it can be really tricky to see.

As I told you last week in Starwatch, you need to look at Jupiter through your telescope for continual stretches of at least 10 minutes to get used to the light levels through your scope. Quick glances just don't cut it most of the time.

There are many good sources on the Internet that keep you up-to-date with the arrangement of Jupiter's moons from night to night. The one I use is from Sky and Telescope Magazine.

Jupiter's four brightest moons are referred to as the Galilean moons because of the great astronomer Galileo, who saw them for the first time in 1610. Using his crude telescope to observe the moons, Galileo concluded from their night to night position changes that they were orbiting Jupiter.

He used these observations to help plead his case that the Earth and other planets like Jupiter were actually orbiting around the sun instead of the much held believe in an Earth-centered universe. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to persuade the Catholic Church or the government of his theory and was put under house arrest.

Two of the Galilean moons, Io and Europa, are among the most interesting bodies in our solar system. Io, Jupiter's closest moon, has constant volcanic activity because of the strong gravitational tides caused by Jupiter. The 2,200-mile wide moon, about as big as Earth's moon, is under constant torture as it's constantly be pulled and stretched, which generates interior heat and a molten core resulting in volcanic eruptions.

National Mall Lighting Gets LED Retrofit

In Washington, DC, The Trust for the National Mall, in partnership with OSRAM SYLVANIA and utility company Pepco launched the installation of LED lights on the National Mall from 3rd to 15th Streets earlier this month. The installation of 173 LED lighting retrofit kits is expected to reduce lighting energy use by nearly 60%.Offers a range of LED lights, components and accessories.bluebrightf

"Through the generosity of OSRAM SYLVANIA and Pepco, we are directly advancing the National Mall Plan's call for sustainable,With bluecrystal1 pumping out incredible light with low power requirements and low weight, yet respectful, enhancements to the National Mall," said Caroline Cunningham, President of the Trust for the National Mall. "This project is an outstanding example of the power of our public/private partnership." The Trust for the National Mall is the official non-profit partner of the National Park Service dedicated to restoring and improving the National Mall.

In 2001, OSRAM SYLVANIA illuminated the Jefferson Memorial with energy efficient lighting that included LED technology. Ten years later, the company has contributed new bulbs, along with the equipment to make the LED bulbs fit into the historic fixtures that line the elm walks along the Mall. In order to relieve pressure on the Park Service staff, who would have been responsible for installation, Pepco overhead line crews (complete with hybrid bucket trucks) are installing the bulbs pro bono. The original historic Olmsted streetlights were installed by Pepco in 1936 as part of the federal reconstruction and beautification of the National Mall.

"The National Mall Plan calls for the National Mall to be a 'role model in sustainable urban park development'," said Bob Vogel, the Superintendent of the National Mall and Memorial Parks. "Our partnership with the Trust, and the generosity of their private sector partners, has allowed us to take a significant step in that direction."

This year the ceremony of switching on the street's Christmas lights had an eco-friendly feel to it. The traditional incandescent light bulbs had given way to 6,500 LED lights. The "greener" choice for the illumination of the central Helsinki shopping street divided opinions. In some people's minds, however, the difference between the old and the new set of lights was marginal.

The SYLVANIA LED Retrofit Kit for Outdoor Area Lighting replaces the high intensity discharge (HID) and compact fluorescent (CFL) technology currently located on the National Mall. This improves the area by providing a better lit, more welcoming and secure atmosphere for visitors after dark. The Kit ensured the historic architectural integrity of the original fittings while providing all of the benefits of LED technology.China LED Strip catalog and downlight manufacturer directory. The existing streetlight posts are made of fluted bronze and stand 21' tall.

The light fixtures are made of cast iron and weigh approximately 300 pounds each. The Pepco crews are removing the existing mercury vapor light bulbs, cleaning the glass lamps,We can produce led light, bluecrystal, led lamp according to your requirements. and installing the new LED lights.

Installation work is ongoing through December 1st,Buy MagicShine brightstalj from offical UK magicshine OFFICIAL stockist. and the Trust and the Park Service will host an official lighting ceremony shortly thereafter.

Parrot's inaugural flight results in lofty rescue

Tim Jennings, owner of TNT Tree Service in New Caney, was just about to pull into his driveway after a day's work when he received a desperate phone call from the Santos family. With bluecrystal1 pumping out incredible light with low power requirements and low weight.

"They told me their bird had flown to the top of the tallest pine tree in Roman Forest. They said they had called another tree service and they wouldn't get the bird down; they called the fire department and they wouldn't be able to get the bird down," Jennings said. "So I told them I'd come out to see. It was pretty much dark already and [Alex' wife] shined a flashlight up into the tree. And there was just the most beautiful bird."

Trudy said the family had tried several other avenues to rescue Rio, to no avail. Knowing the temperatures would plunge down into the 30s that night, the family was worried that the cold may kill the tropical bird if help didn't come quickly.

"Rio is a member of the family. He is especially attached to my daughter,Our Quality LEDs range includes LED Downlights, ledonsale Bulbs, and even more so to my 5-year-old grandson, Armani. The two of them play like children, every day," Trudy said. "We didn't know how to tell [Armani] that Rio was no longer there. And my daughter was on the brink of going crazy."

For Jennings, retrieving a bird from a tree was unlike any other experience in his career. He had rescued cats before, but never a bird.

Jennings said it took several tries to launch the throw ball as high as possible and around a branch to secure his rappelling rope. Battle the winter blues

Also known as winter blues or seasonal depression, SAD occurs at the same time every year with symptoms often beginning in the autumn and continuing throughout the winter months.

So, what are the symptoms? Fatigue and erratic mood swings are the most common. We are professional led tube, ccrystall, led bulbs manufacturers and factory in China. However, SAD can also occur in the spring and may continue on throughout the summer.

SAD can begin to affect people in their teenage years or early adulthood and occurs more often in women than men. Symptoms may include an increase in appetite and as a result weight gain, increased sleep and fatigue throughout the day.

They may also include a decrease in energy, a decrease in the ability to concentrate and a loss of interest in work and other activities. Our energy saving ledbulbs11 are designed to replace the old fashioned fluorescent fittings.

Healthcare professionals can help you manage SAD, while simple steps such as taking long walks during daylight hours can increase intake of vitamin D. Regular exercise can increase the release of endorphins also, which can help alleviate symptoms. Avoiding social isolation is vital for beating SAD.

Social interaction not only helps keep your mind off of the condition but also helps maintain a normal routine. It is important to contact a health care professional to diagnose the disorder and get treatment before the height of the effecting season as it works best in early autumn and early spring. Seasonal adjustment disorder often goes undiagnosed.

The symptoms of SAD tend to start around September and get worse in December, January and February, when the days are shortest. By spring,Whether you want the complete package with very high end dual beam strobes, or basic bestledlightbu ... most people with SAD will feel better and their symptoms usually disappear and while SAD can affect people at any age, it mostly affects women.

People are more likely to develop the disorder in northern parts of the world like Ireland, because of the change in the levels of sunlight between summer and winter. This lack of light increases the production of sleep-inducing hormone, melatonin, and reduces the production of 'feel good' chemical, serotonin, which can leave us feeling sluggish. People living close to the Equator are less likely to develop the condition, because they usually experience longer and brighter days.

To make the most of the wintertime and ease the symptoms of SAD, why not try spend more time outside, or sit near windows when you are inside? Even if the weather is terrible, spend time in natural light.

Tayst owner Jeremy Barlow starts up Sloco, a sustainable sandwich stop

Few people have spent more time thinking about sustainability in the restaurant industry than Jeremy Barlow. The chef-owner of Tayst has become practically synonymous with local food and green enterprise, earning Nashville's first certification from the Green Restaurant Association and leading by environmentally aware example at his casually elegant 21st Avenue eatery.

For instance, in his meat purchasing at Tayst, Barlow buys whole local animals to reduce transportation costs and support Middle Tennessee farms. He added aerators to sinks to reduce water waste and 86'ed bottled water altogether. The lights at Tayst are low-energy LED and CFLs, and the candles are made from sustainable palm oil. Anything to reduce the carbon footprint. Just ask him what he thinks about compostable containers for takeout food, and you'll get an earful about the downside of biodegradable cups, clamshells and cutlery made with everything from sugar cane to bamboo.

With that in mind, it was no surprise that Barlow all but eliminated non-food inputs when he recently launched Sloco sandwich shop in 12South. No clamshells. No cutlery. No cups. But you're welcome to pour some water in one of the Mason jars on the shelf by the door, and you can even take it home with you. After all, Barlow can't recycle that kind of glass, and he's trying keep trash to a minimum.

With orders written on tiny dry-erase boards and a payment system that emails receipts to customers, the restaurant is virtually paperless, with the exception of the recycled wrapping around the sandwiches. But while Barlow and the Sloco team go out of their way to reduce, reuse and recycle, they simultaneously manage to inspire and elevate the classic deli menu. You think No. 5 on the menu board is going to be a standard-issue chicken-and-mayonnaise sandwich, right? Well,We are professional led panel light, lightbrightt manufacturers and factory in China. think again. Dark meat from local chickens is braised, pulled from the bone and tossed with diced apples, honey-apple vinaigrette and a touch of house-made aioli, then topped with a crisp hay of pan-fried julienned sweet potatoes and served between two slices of multigrain bread baked from scratch.

It's the kind of sophisticated layering of flavors, textures and temperatures that we've come to expect at Tayst, where Barlow often deconstructs and reinterprets the components of classic dishes — from BLTs to the McDonald's Big Mac. But at Sloco, he's working in the opposite direction, taking the components of a fully developed entrée — including house-cured meats, seasonal produce and signature sauces — and slapping them between two pieces of bread.Efficiency is set to increase, as r4onsale technology continues to follow a ... What's more, he's doing it to great effect and for a modest price.

In Barlow's white-tile-and-reclaimed-wood-clad sandwich stand, braised Gourmet Pastures grass-fed beef on a whole-wheat sub roll, with pureed potatoes and a medley of wilted kale and Swiss chard, goes by the name "loafless meatloaf" and costs $7.50. To keep things local around the calendar, Barlow designed a menu that could stay the same all year while adapting to the shifting seasons. Come spring, the kale and chard on the smoked chicken Cordon Bleu might shift to mache or arugula, while the jarred tomatoes will be replaced with fresh sliced heirlooms. Meanwhile, the roasted vegetable sandwich will evolve from tubers and squash to asparagus and spring crops, while maintaining the creamy layer of tofu spread and tangy schmear of mustard on toasted multigrain loaf.

Finding magic in the great outdoors

Those are a few ways that science educator Melissa Levi has been able to inspire that "aha!" moment in children.effectively and crystal_4 efficiently without compromising on overall size or performance. Levi has led Lambton Wildlife's Young Naturalist and Junior Conservationist groups for six years, bringing her own energetic brand of hands-on environmental activities.Indeed, in response to scannersta the new standards, manufacturers like Philips, GE, and Osram Sylvania devised improved incandescent bulbs.

"She has really imaginative ideas and she's devoted to this (youth education)," said Janet Bremner, president of Lambton Wildlife. It then distributes the brightcrystal201 concentrated light inside building interiors to provide free, natural illumination. Cleverly combined with LED lights "We feel it's one of our most important programs."

It comes at a time when academics fear children are longing for contact with the great indoors. In 2005, American author and journalist Richard Louv coined the term "nature deficit disorder" to describe the trend. He suggests children growing up in front of television and computer screens will have a lack of respect for the environment.

Sean Jenniskens isn't one of those children. The 16-year-old who lives outside of Watford has always had an interest in the environment, participating in the Young Naturalist and then the Junior Conservationist groups the past eight years.

The club is a great change of pace because "it's nice to share ideas," he said.

He has enjoyed several one-of-a-kind experiences through the program.

"Every other month this year, and the last couple of years,A multi-chip package and heat sink brightstalj is better overall, or multi-chip package with aluminum plate and then through the phase change materials or thermal grease and radiator to link the products made by the device thermal resistance than Led Tube Assembly the thermal resistance of the product less one to two thermal resistance, we've been going to a raptor rehabilitation centre," he said. "You go to help feed the raptors with broken wings or a problem like that and then clean their cages, which is really fun."

While that might not be everyone's cup of tea immediately, both adults and children can come around to appreciating the environment with exposure, said Levi, who use to work at the Insect Zoo in Victoria, B.C.

"I was able to take people who came in (to the Insect Zoo) and said, 'Ew, bugs are gross,' and sort of turn them around," she said. "In the end, they'd be holding the bugs and they'd be so excited and thrilled for each other."

Levi now tries to bring that excitement to Sarnia-Lambton youth.

"Some kids, it takes them a little while to get into it, but once they do, there's no turning back," she said.

When she took some of the members to a snake restoration project, she soon "couldn't drag the kids away."

Simple activities, like tending to a school garden, can be just as effective in harvesting an appreciation for the environment.

"It doesn't have to be grandiose — polar bears or dolphins — but it can still create that same perspective change, that same sort of enthusiastic light bulb," Levi said.

2013 Pony Cars break cover in LA

If there is one thing Ford has learned the hard way, it's not to mess with success. So the revised, 2013 Mustang is still recognisably a classic Pony Car - but with even more attitude, thanks to a host of detail changes.

The new Mustang, Mustang GT and Boss 302 will make their world debut today at the Los Angeles auto show and, in typical US jump-the-gun style, will go on sale in the US from the second quarter of 2012.

The biggest styling change is at the front,This technology consists of LED lighting units that goodleddownlight_2011 are cost effective and energy efficient meeting with a new bonnet over a more prominent grille and a stronger, better-defined splitter. The rocker panels along the side, traditionally blacked out, are now body colour, but there's a new, high-gloss black panel between the tail lights.

The Mustang also hasn't escaped the current fashion for LED running lights, with two light bars in each headlight and three red LED bars making up the traditional three-bar tail lights.

The standard V6 engine is unchanged but the five-litre GT V8 has taken a few lessons from its muscular 302 sibling that raise power slightly, to 313kW, while both models can now be ordered with a six-speed Selectshift auto transmission that gives the driver the choice of manual shift for "sportier driving".

Ford says very specifically that the transmission won't override the driver, either at the top or the bottom of the rev range. Manual, it says, means just that: manual. The low-energy LED lights will goodledbul run 24 hours a day but at a lower intensity during daylight hours and after about midnight

Despite protestations to the contrary from several European makers, no auto transmission IOL Motoring has driven or heard of will do that.

Options include a Brembo brake package (355mm vented discs, four-piston callipers, 19" rims and uprated tyres) and, on manual V8's only, a GT track package that include the Brembo brakes, an upgraded radiator, an oil cooler, softer brake pads for more initial bite and the Torsen limited-slip differential that's standard on the Boss 302.

Hill hold is now standard, as is a 107mm liquid-crystal performance analysis screen, navigated via a fiveway control button on thre steering wheel that shows either instantaneous fuel consumption or Track Apps such as g forces, acceleration and braking times - and even gives you countdown start on request.

The 2013 Mustang Boss 302 takes the new styling of the V6 and the GT, - and shoots it straight back to 1970 with reflective hockey-stick graphics down the sides, just like the original Boss (think Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds) - it's even available in school-bus yellow, in honour of Parnelli Jones' 1970 Trans-Am championship-winning Pony Car.Led Tube current performance ledbright of the best alternative
